Pre-Summer Readiness Check
Overview & Pricing
Have confidence in your landscape’s resilience this summer with a readiness check. My goal is to identify and prevent issues that can cause widespread plant damage and loss over the summer, and keep your yard looking healthy despite the heat.
We’ll start with a Readiness Report walkthrough and then begin follow-up work based on the results. Potential same-day jobs depend on the individual yard, its size, and its specific needs.
- Phase 1: Readiness Report
- A look at the irrigation schedule, emitters placement, and functioning of the irrigation system.
- An evaluation of overall and individual plant health
- Check of soil quality and potential problems
- A fertilizer schedule created
- ID of invasive plants present in the yard
- Design ideas and problem solving not covered by the above categories
- Phase 2: Summer Readiness Work may include
- Fixing leaks in the irrigation system, changing out emitters, running spaghetti lines to increase water availability, and/or capping unnecessary emitters to save water
- Full yard deep watering for a yard not on an irrigation system, or to flush salts away from roots in a yard with irrigation system
- Application of insecticidal soap, Bt spray, systemic pesticide, tree & shrub food, slow release plant food, bloom fertilizer, superthrive, or iron foliar spray as needed.
- Weeding
- Rearranging rip rap and gravel
- Flower pots (if agreed ahead of time)
- Hand trimming plants
- Potting any cuttings and pups from plants in the yard
- Moving certain plants to a better location in the yard
- Planting wildflower seeds
Readiness Report – $250.00
Materials & Labor – up to $1,500
Pricing Note: Total cost depends on size of yard, number of plants, and complexity of the job. An estimate will be given
ahead of time, when the seasonal service is scheduled. Please provide a description of the yard and why you are requesting a readiness check, along with wide photos of the landscaping if
possible.
